Olympic champion Pedro Pichardo took part in the prestigious Bislett Games in Oslo, the sixth stop of the 2025 Diamond League held on June 12th. At the renowned Bislett Stadium, venue of over 60 world records, the Portuguese athlete competed in the triple jump, recording a mark of 17.06 meters.
The Oslo competition represents an important step in Pichardo’s seasonal preparation, as he gradually builds his form ahead of the year’s major competitions. The three-time Diamond League winner was able to test his condition on one of track and field’s most iconic venues.
Following the Norwegian experience, the Tokyo 2021 Olympic champion prepares for his next engagement: on June 17th he will be the star of the 5th ATL-Etica International Meeting in San Vendemiano, where Italian fans will have the opportunity to witness live one of history’s greatest triple jumpers.
The Portuguese-Cuban athlete, holder of the sixth-best performance of all time with 18.08 meters, continues his preparation journey aiming to reach peak form during the season’s most important moments. His presence in Oslo confirms his commitment to the Diamond League circuit, a competition he has already won three times.
With San Vendemiano approaching, Pichardo will soon have another opportunity to express his full talent in front of the Italian audience, in what will be his third competitive outing of 2025.
